That’s how I feel about the question, “is harvesting rainwater legal?”
You would think it should be legal everywhere since it’s not a man made invention, yet our govt. thinks it knows what’s best for its ‘helpless’ citizens. (sarcasm)
Maybe there are restrictions in certain places because it gives people more control. Or maybe, it’s because collecting rainwater can help a family save 50% on their water bill.
I mean, we can’t have the average joe becoming financially independent now can we?
On the flip side, some have deemed harvesting rainwater as a problem because it can deter rivers from flourishing while affecting farmers’ crops and cattle.
If you’re considering harvesting rainwater then you should first know how it’s done. A quick YouTube or Google search will give you plenty of information on this.
You’ll find plenty of how to’s and even a few DIYs to keep you under budget.
One couple that’s had an interesting off-grid journey is Life Uncontained. I encourage you to check out their channel.
