That’s something I’ve heard a lot growing up. It makes sense. Seeing that our
bodies are supposedly mostly made up of water.
Even with that being said, have you given thought to this fact? Have you given thought to what might happen if your local city had a water crisis?
Where would you get fresh water? How would you cook, clean, or bathe?
Besides air, water is our most vital necessity. So it just makes sense to have emergency water on hand in case of some catastrophe.
Another reason why you’ll want to do this is because if there ever is a crisis of some kind, people tend to go crazy and are willing to do anything for survival. So having your water supply stocked and hidden is a wise thing.
Outside of that, what can you do if you have access to water, but it’s not clean?
Depending on the source, the best thing you can do is to boil the water. Boiling water kills disease causing germs, viruses, bacteria, and parasites. If you do have to do this, make sure to add a pinch of salt to each quart of liter of boiled water.
I’m not a purveyor of doom and gloom, but I do like to be prepared. Make sure that you take a moment to seek out water sources away from the populace so you can source fresh water if need be for you and yours.
